June 18, 2020

The UM Retail Store will resume operations from Saturday 27 June 2020, 11am – 8pm. We will operate daily Mondays – Sundays: 11am – 8pm from here on till further notice.

The health of our customers and staff is of paramount importance to us, to minimise the contact is to minimise the spread. So we strongly encourage you to continue to shop online with us and visit our physical retail store ONLY if absolutely necessary.

Our online store is always open, 24/7, 365 days a year, and we are still offering free shipping to any local address in Singapore, no item too small.

Expect service delays in-store
Due to safe distancing and Ministry of Manpower guidelines, we can only have one staff working in the physical store at any one time. There will be service delays (eg. string change, minor repairs, strap button installation etc), limitation on the number of customers (four customers at any one time) allowed within the store, and checks before entering the store. We seek your patience when you visit us.

We will continue to offer group and individual ukulele lessons online via Zoom. All face-to-face lessons will be limited to individual lessons only and will resume at a later date. Classes will be held at our classroom location 2 Kitchener Road, #02-87, Singapore 200002.

Sanitisation / Hygiene
In line with retail safety guidelines, we will be implementing steps to keep our instruments sanitised as much as possible by requesting all customers entering the store to first sanitise their hands. UV-C light is used to sanitise our instruments daily after handling by customers. Frequently touched surfaces will also be cleaned regularly.

Current regulations such as the wearing of mask, or face shield is still in force. We reserve the right to turn away customers who are not wearing masks/shield. Our staff will continue to check their temperature daily and maintain a high level of personal hygiene.

Safe distancing
A safe distance of at least 1m is required between our staff and the customer(s) as well as between customers of different groups. We urge that you observe the 1m safe distancing when you're browsing, queuing for the cashier, or waiting outside for your turn to enter. We can only allow a maximum of 4 persons in the store at any one time.

Contact tracing
A QR-code will be placed at our store entrance and you are required to check-in via SafeEntry before entering the store.

We recognise that there's many inconveniences but everyone needs to play their part to ensure that the virus is in-check. Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your support.

We look forward to serve you in a safe environment.
