RISA ukes are made in Germany by RISA Musical Instruments GmbH. These all-solid electric ukes look nothing like the traditional ukuleles we have become so accustomed to. In fact, many likened them to an egg cutter or even a meat tenderizer! But there's where the similarities end as these innovative instruments are so radically designed and well constructed that they automatically become a conversational topic when anyone sees them...plus they play well and sound really good too!
Constructed in a one-piece block of solid wood, these ukes are also equipped with high-spec components like passive Shadow Piezo pickup, Grover tuners and RISA Fluoro-Carbon strings and a low action for the best sound quality and playability. RISA Uke-Solid models can also be tuned in D-tuning, Mandolin tuning G-D-A-E (with the right strings) and they can be easily converted for left-handers!
